Just a couple of weeks ago, some female friends went to a gym in Kuala Belait to workout.

Just as they were warming up on the machines, a bald headed man had come up to them and introduced himself.

He had been really friendly but the girls obviously were reluctant to respond to him as they felt quite uncomfortable with his ‘deliberate approach’.

I am not saying that striking up conversations with people in a shared environment is a crime but it’s better not to disturb and annoy female gym-goers unnecessarily. They get upset.

Assalamualaikum!

Saya ni kan mengambil amah arah di antara 21 ejen yang berlesen, tapi masalahnya semua ejen yang berlesen dari pejabat buruh atu mendatangkan amah $2000.00 ke atas dan rata-rata bisdiorang tu minta $1500 ke atas untuk deposit, potong gaji amah 7-8 bulan.

Stress amah baru, berterus-terang gaji saya hanya $900.00 ke bawah (swasta) belum lagi potongan-potongan yang lain, suami yang bergaji $1300.00 ke bawah selepas potong-potongan bersih pun hanya tinggal $300.00 sahaja. Kami mempunyai anak 5 orang memang masa ni, kami ada amah udah tetapi 4 tahun sudah dia bekerja sama kami. Dan  dia tidak mahu menyambung lagi di ujung bulan 2 ni, kerana mahu pulang.

Dahulu kami mengambil amah murah saja kira-kira dalam seribu masih pun masih lagi mampu diusahakan. Ini 2 ribu ke atas agen fee ah, membalikkan amah ni, usin kami juga yang keluar, sedangkan gaji kami pun tidak sampai-sampai 2 ribu selepas potong-potongan rumah sewa kerajaan, elektrik, bil air, astro, kereta, personal loan.

Mun tah dapat dikurangkan tia fee pengambilan amah ni, jadi dalam seribu saja, kami bukan berijazah yang bergaji $2600 ke atas cuma lulusan O level. Mun karang ne lulusan O level lagi tah payah bekeraja. Ejen Berlesen tu menyenangkan nada kana tipu tapi mahal mgambil amah dorang tu, mmbari aku kan mncari Ah Long untuk meminjam usin untuk mgambil Amah atau bergadai semua emas-emasan tapi 2 tahun akan datang mengambil lagi cemana ah tapi terpaksa jua ne sal aku beranak damit!!!

Dui nada semua orang Brunei ne bergaji 2 ribu banyak lagi yang bergaji seribu Syukur pulang jua rezekimu Ya Allah! Mudah2an ada ejen berlesen tu membaca luahan kami yang bergaji damit ane, mun ia berperikemanusiaan didiskaunnya kali?

Hi, I am wondering whether there is any place where I can donate used Exercise book, text book, Clothing, home display items in Belait? I feel that it’s such a waste just to throw off all the items but keeping it at home and storing it away can become quite inconvenient if it started to piles up.

 I bought a plasma LG TV at an electronic shop located near the Hua Ho in Gadong a few week ago. After receiving the TV to my house, I notice a lot of problem, like burn-in and vertical line on the screen.

So when I returned to the shop, I found out that the shop had sold me the TV that was on display, and not the brand new. When asked to fix the burn-in problem, they told me it doesn’t cover in the warranty. I am really up set how they do business like this. I will not recommend anyone buying stuff from here anymore.

Salam. I support totally 100% the Brunei government of issuing the new prepaid electricity unit /meter/ board for the whole nation to apply in their house/ office /business/ etc. Why? Well to those who like to waste and NEVER think of reservation for the “future”… better think twice before you switch on any electrical appliance or gadget for today to day use.

Many in the country had been using this cheap utility for granted and some even left the “bills” climbing and NOT EVEN BOTHERED to pay at all!! What a shame. I thought we Bruneians are well educated, caring and being responsible in what we do, say or act. Simply because of some naughty individuals, the whole nation gets the treatment and ask to move from post-paid to pre-paid meters. I can’t agree more. Hope that this move will “educate” our people to conserve as well as responsibly use their electricity with care.

Now the amounting un-paid bills from the public as well as from other agencies including and surprisingly BSP, carried the alarms and force the government to take drastic action.

So people, wake up and be a mature and a responsible citizen. Our country can go bankrupt if this kind of bad behavior continues. That is what happen to countries like America, Europe nowadays…burden with bad debts….!!

Salam. Aku mempunyai perniagan kecil-kecilan, dan sudah maju sejak 3 tahun yang lepas. Baru-baru ni ada orang yang membuka perniagaan yang sama macam aku. Niaga mereka pada awalnya tidak maju, beliau dengki melihat perniagaan ku yang maju sebab barang-barang yang dijualnya hampir sama.

Setelah 5 bulan, perniagaan ku kini hampir kosong tiap-tiap hari. Yang hairan perniagaan jiran ku pulang maju sekali. Tiada hasad dengki dari ku tapi, ku rasa aku sedang dianiya dengan dipakai ilmu yang dibuat-buat oleh jiran ku.

Sewa ku tetap jalan walaupun perniagaan ku kosong. Aku tidak mahu mengenakan sesiapa, tapi mahu minta tolong kepada orang yang pandai berubat untuk bersihkan balik kedai ku.

Itulah tujuan ku disini, nak minta tolong orang ramai yang siapa-siapa kenal orang yang pandai berubat untuk kasihani aku dalam situasi yang sungguh mendadak ini dan tolong lah saya untuk perkenalkan orang berubat yang boleh membantu aku. Tolong balas arah e-mel :- john21173@yahoo.com

The prices of essential household goods are soaring like Rocket, low in come people are suffering hand to mouth. How come prices are increasing almost weekly, isn’t there any dept. in charge to check on daily essential household goods?

Salaries we earn remain the same but prices are soaring, how to survive and feed our families? Please I hope some govt. dept can look into this price increasing game. Retailers are earning bigger profits and we the low income earners are struggling to survive!!!

Recently I went to Giant Rimba with my family. I was rather shocked to see how many mini2 booths/stalls are lined up, limiting the walk ways. There are about 3 rows in one walk way. Firstly limiting movement place for the public and secondly, if some fire or emergency were to happen, how are ppl. to run for safety with all these stalls blocking most of the walkways? With small kids and elderly people, in cases of emergency it would lead to stampede due to overcrowding the place with such stalls.

I guess the management of Giant or any other such complexes should consider safety of the public and not just profits by renting out more and more stalls.

The Fire Dept. personnel in charge of licensing should make a round there or any other complexes that operate such stalls.

Speaking of Private Company in Brunei Darussalam, everyone can expect to see A LOT OF FOREIGNER rather than Local Bruneian working in the company.

i just want to share about a private company which is one of the branch of international company. What i want to say is, the company is not 100% local company. The license is owned by a local Bruneian but the Company itself is manage and owned by foreigner!!

Our, manager, supervisors, officers, operators, mechanics and etc are mostly the foreigner..We the local will be put as the lower staff..they don’t and wont put us as the important role in the company.

the issues are:
1. Local will be given a VERY LOW salary with less benefit compare to the FOREIGNER.foreigner will get BND 2k per person or the least one is $900. but not just that, the foreigner is really pampered by the company, they will get food allowance like $900 per month.. rent for the staff house 1k +, car $300+.. just imagine how much is the foreigner earned compare to the local? is it fair? how much local get? $600 after deduct tap n scp only $550+?? the foreigner can get $2900?? (the amount is roughly, but its true)

2. foreigner always rude to the local, they treat local such as their “kuli”. the our management is a foreigner..so they never treat local good.. we dont really happy work with the company. but when we have to work as to feed our family, we bare it.. we are having stress at work everyday..

3. Additional allowance? why us whom work at the oil and gas sector does not receive allowance ? the kurnia? we are bruneian citizen.. oil and gas is the main income for brunei, then why we dont have the special appreciation from the govt? because we work with the private sector?

how sad we were when we have to bare with this company.. can you imagine? local worked hard in the company but they dont really look at you.. because you are a local guy not a foreigner guy..

how can the immigration just let the company bring in foreigner? the local is here.. dont the immigration checked the worker of the company?

4. is there a way how we can solve our problems in the company? its just like we’re ruled by the foreigner in the company, like we’re not living in a brunei country. The management is trying to make the company as foreigner company, eventhough the license is a bruneian owned.

This is not a whinning, but come on, we’re in brunei darussalam. we’re a local bruneian. brunei citizen.. His majesty would never want his people to be treated as this way.

Why is there no salary scale in the private sector? I mean the most important is the minimum salary scale for the local who work in the private sector?

The oil and gas companies are getting more and more, they gained income from the oil and gas that owned by Brunei Darussalam. Then why?? The local Bruneian who work in this sector are always neglected? Why always the government servants get the benefits?

When can Local Bruneian be taking care of? Really take care of by the labour dept? They collect the salary statistic. But is it acceptable when you have family and kids to take care of but yet your income is $550 only??

Apa ne!! Semua Harga Makanan Melonjak… Indo mee saja harganya di kedai $1.95~~!! esh!! dari $1.40 tapi mun kadai runchit… ia berjual $2.00 …”Ditanya arah penjul kenapa naik harga, jawapannya: harga biasa, dan harga makanan naik”.. satu kotak besar $15.60 kalau nada salah tapi mun dulu $12.30 nganya! … kesian ku melihat orang-orang yang gajinya sedikit! Orang gaji range $500-1000 nda mencukupi untuk keperluan sebulan apatah lagi mun ia beranak banyak sama hutang banyak… kenapa tah nda kawalan harga makanan atukan? Awu eh orang kaya2 + berusin mana peduli tu kan mahal kah nda… ia tau makan saja… belum lagi harga2 yang lain … makin dahsyat naiknya…!! Bila tah lagi orang atasan kan bertindak tentang masalah ani? mun makin naik, makin sikit gaji orang habis membelikan keperluan rumah! Mana tia jua orang berhutang banyak di bank.. Buat bnyak2 visa card .. Makin miskin jadinya ada pulang!! Cana tah kan save duit mun ani berterusan…. Nda tau2 minggu depan harga indo mee meningkat $2.10..! apa lagi alasannya?

Kalau buleh ah limit kan bah harga yang berpatutan.

Kepada penjaga yang tertentu jangan pilih kasih. Anak buah mu yang keraja di sana atu bermasalah. Orang yang inda bermasalah kau pindah. Anak buah mu yang beemasalah inda kau pindah. Nampak bah kau atu pilih kasih. Alasan mu siapa lama kena pindah tapi anak buah mu atu paling lama kali ah..nada jua kau pindahkan..ulah anak buah mu kau tapuki, supaya inda kena buang.

Meninggalkan pos masa bertugas, minum, membawa orang luar di tempat keraja. Mengclaim duit overtime tapi benarnya nada overtime..sanang2 membuat arah timesheet ia hari-hari overtime. Pasal apa nah? Adik-beradik indungnya orang dalam..ada org cover…

aku ani inda puas hati saja arah ‘Electronics’. dua bulan lepas aku ada ke sana mengadu pasal iTunes Card ku disable. sekali pertanyaannya, dimana kita membali, dimana kita mendaftar dan sejak bila ianya Disable. jawapanku, aku membali di ‘kedai kamu’ saja, nda ku ke tempat lain. Disable sejak minggu lepas. katanya masani memang durang ada masalah, iatah durang cuba usahakan supaya inda Disables. kataku berapa lama? kata durang dalam dua minggu ani tunggu saja tia. ok, ku tunggu. sudah dua minggu datang ku lagi ku tanya, masih sama. kataku bila tah tu? kata perempuan yang di service centre atu kami inda tau, atu dari Apple tu. kami masih cari solutionnya. ok fine, aku balik saja apa jua tau ku barang cani. kataku inda sampai sebulan jaditah banyak kan ku update. lepas sebulan, ku telephone saja. ku tanya bilatah tu? jawapannya, tetap sama. kami masih carii solutionnya. sampai bila tah mencari solutionnya atu. ku cakap bisai biasai, kita cakap dua minggu lepas dua minggu sebulan lepas ani apa? jawapannya, ramai lagi customer kan kami layan. kan marah ku sudah bahasanya atu.. balik saja ku sebelum balik, mintanya iTunes ID ku sama Passwordnya katanya kan di emailnya ke Apple. jadinya selama sebulan lepas atu indatah durang mengemail tu? sekali kawan ku cakap, sabar dulu tunggu lagi. sekali ani masuk dua bulan lebih lagi.. dua minggu lepas ku banar banari, dtg ku ke sana, ku tanya yg dibawah katanya org kami yang di atas atu andang taiming. durang minta jua email sama ID. katanya give me 1 week. ani baru ani ku telephone lagi, kataku seminggu labih sudah balum kah? sekali lelaki menjawab, mintanya email sama ID. katanya kan di emailnya ke Apple. apakan durang ani canakan durang bekeraja. kataku kalau inda dapat, bagitau. refund saja duit atu. ke Deejay saja ku inda payah ku batah menunggu. sekali tutup nya. ku telephone lagi, sudah kana transfer arah lelaki yang sama ia janji ia kan call, kataku inda penting lagi tu yang ku mau tau bila dapat kalau inda dapat refund saja. kan tunggu kamu call, iatah nda tu. sekali tutupnya lagi. kan ku tanya namanya, nda. kalau ada box suggestion sana atau direct becakap sama manager nya kan becakap ku banar. tapi nda. ku tanya durang pun nda. janjikan ini itu tapi nda. apa punya kadai. kalau ada yang membaca, suruh orang av atu perbaiki cara layanan dan yang penting iTunes Card atu. lepas atu ndatah ku mau ke sana lagi tu. sakit saja hati menunggu, kana janjikan sekian sekian.. bila membali dilayan baik, sudah barang rusak atau apa apa macam apa durang buat.. menyasal ku inda mendgr cakap orang lain yang suruh aku ke kadai elektronik dari ke kadai ani.

Salam semua. Aku ani ada dengar pulang dari orang2 and kawan ku pasal si Ka*** ani yg urg kaya mengajut. Sekali diorang kawan ku ani ada invest arah ia. Setakat ani yg ku tahu ramai pulang orang Brunei invest arah ia. Ada yg kan masuk setahun sudah lah menerima duit bulan2 dari investment atu. So soalan ku ani. Selamat kah invest arah ia ani?
