Brunei HAVE NO FEAR! HAVE YOUR SAY!

Excuse me, Assalammualaikum...I'm one of the local Bruneians who once a week visit my late granpa's grave in Bandar, near to hospital in front of the high-court. I am very saddened and surprised to see that in Brunei nowadays we do have BEGGARS! They don't appear to be poor. This man appeared to be in a good condition physically and yet they even wear proper outfits! In fact not too badly dressed. I'm okay if these kind of people sit and beg but this beggar was kinda rude and a bit scary and that really pisses me off, what he did in front of my father was really rude...he followed my babah and then he poked his finger into my babah's arm saying "wehh, sedakah ji, sedakah.." he even followed my parents to our car and waited beside the driver.. it's not that we don't want to give our money but we also ......

Software/Media Piracy in Brunei is not a new thing. It has been well maintained and organized for decades as far as I remember. But, I was wondering if there's a back door or a loophole in the system? How come shops selling those pirated CDs, DVDs and blu-rays are still galore and the authorities turn a blind eye and deaf ears on them? C'mon, do what it right! Our neighbouring countries show a good example by closing down the shops, business license taken away, hefty fine or going to jail and all the pirated CDs or DVDs were taken away and burned or crushed with a steam-roller and shown to the public! Well, here in Brunei, I only heard about ambushes and no action taken. Was this a setup or a gimmick played by the authorities? Coincidentally, I saw one shop stuffed away a lot of DVDs and all the shelves ......

Flu shot is just as preventive measures against NORMAL flu. Not swine. I'm a Bruneian on a holiday abroad. I took the long flight and switched airplanes. I went out while the swine flu scare was rising. but I couldn't care less. Why? Because prior to my flight, I have been bedridden- feverish, coughed a lot. and all the clinic could say to me was "ada belayar sebelum ani?" if you said "no" they'll just check you, gave panadol and the pink ubat batuk that does me nothing but sleep. I went to a private clinic soon the second week because I lost my voice completely to the flu. that was better since they gave me antibiotics for my very sore throat and all. Moreover, I know quite a lot people who haven't been out of the country but are extremely ill. Does it ever occur to you that swine ......

It's amazing how people tend to create an outburst about the flaws of MOH. But, how many of us have actually taken the time to reflect 'rationally' on the efforts to contain the spread of H1N1 well before there was a reported case locally? Has anyone even reflected on the complexities or the impact on other multi-sartorial agencies with every action that has to be undertaken? I am sure all the criticisms forwarded have been looked into positively by the concerned people. Every day, I can see improvements being made to smooth out the workflow/procedure may it be the screening or the actual management for those identified as positive cases. To reach the perfection that most of the public warrant will not be attainable overnight. For that, we have to be a little bit more patient. Attempting to impose these 'changes' also requires MONEY and MANPOWER. Decisions have to made wisely so as not to compromise other services operationally by channeling the budget and people 'recklessly' for the sake of satisfying pointed flaws. Henceforth, what may seem a slow action for the public is in actual fact a paramount milestone that necessitates deep contemplation. We Bruneians are very demanding when it comes to seeking treatment. All have to be perfect and fast, complete with towering 'privileges'. True we have our rights as Brunei residents or downright basic of a human being expecting to be treated with the utmost dignity and respect, but sometimes we (although not all of us) are just not being sensible with our 'requests'. Why are we more sane and patient when seeking treatment overseas? Is it because we do not have the so-called power there? Nevertheless, I am 100% certain that everyone concerned is trying their very best to satisfy and thus, rectify whatever imperfection that has been commented. ......

Akum! ok... Aku ane bnarnya fed up ku sudh pasal ATM machine ane! Mana2 ATM prasaan ku..ok cni cetanya.. nda jua evrytym lah ah tpi aku encounter brg ane balik2 sudh..lau kn me withdraw usin time2 kn bguna gagas th lagi kdangnya inda tia baik ATM a2..kira yg bdekatan tmpt umh ku sudh tu ku aga ah bh mun dh rusak tpksa jua ku ngaga ATM lain g tu...skli sma tia jua paloinya rusak tia jua ATM sbuting ane! Knapa kn tu ah kn rusak2 th gnya a2?? Ane g tau dh terima baiki tia ane alasan durg nada duit pksa d refill usinnya a2! Luan jua tau dh kn terima pham2 th! Ane jua lau kn mbyar krdit kad..tau terima lai ready2 th usai ATM a2 bh! Bnar plg 2 atm machine nya a2 tpi satu gnya baik bh kmi cutomer ane mnungu lama mcm taie blangau san ku! ......

I understand that people in Brunei infected with the swine flu are quarantined at the Tutong hospital. I also found out that these "quarantined" people are still getting visitors... it was mentioned on the news last week that children aged 12 and below are not encouraged to visit the infected people, i always thought the "quarantine" means you are not allowed to have any contact at all with ANYONE except doctors and nurses of course. Does the Ministry of Health even understand the word "quarantine", try to llok it up in the dictionary or log on to dictionary.com... I believe they should be strict and stern and not allow the infected patients to have visitors AT ALL, no matter how young or old, I have 2 young kids and yes it will be devastating if I wasn't allowed to visit them whilst being quarantined but I will also at least ......

Selalu dah ku membaca pasal scandal2 ani..bini2 kah ia laki2 kah ia yg miang ani. tapi since aku ani bini2 aku lebih terasa apabila bini2 yang kena tipu dan dicurangi. aku sendiri pun pernah jua tapi syukur lah inda ku sampat kawin sama laki2 atu. we were together since sekulah menengah..total 7 tahun kami sama2. dalam masa 7 tahun atu 5 kali kedapatan uleh ku. setiap kali kedapatan menangis2 tia minta ampun bejanji kan inda membuat lagi. di pendekkan cerita, 4 kali ku memaafkan ia..kesian dan pecaya dan teluan sayang.. aku pun inda mau melapaskan. kali ke5 ia membuat cematu atu semasa ku masih menuntut di uni di luar negeri, taun 1 baru. maybe pasal aku jauh dari ia atu kali kurang tah my feeling of attachment arah ia ani menyebabkan aku rasa lebih senang untuk melapaskan dan inda payah ku meliat mua nya merayu2 minta maaf. maybe jua pasal ......
