With the increase spreading of H1N1 in the country, why is the relevant authorities giving the green light to companies to setup expos in the coming days e.g Golden Yellow Pages events. I know vendors are trying to earn money but you have to think positive, you're encouraging the spreading of the flu virus. Might as well do Health roadshows to more educate the citizens more on how to protect themselves from the virus, and steps to prevent the spreading of the virus.  According to WHO (World Health Organization) there are more the 200 deaths caused by the virus. The virus is deadly to people with low immune systems, please people try to refrain from bringing you elderly or young loved ones to these events. Also for the upcoming Bridex Expo it would be wise if the authorities to strictly only allow adults to access the expo, no infants or young ......

Good day, everyone. I'm just about to brief you on why and how important it is for schools to remain closed for, say for another week.  1. There is a fatality. The person involved is a school-going child. What if this child had come to school - wouldn't there be a chance of around 1700+ students in her school being infected? Wouldn't the number of cases [and deaths] be more? 2. Brunei is a small country. Look at the number of cases. Frankly, don't you think the rate is far too MUCH for a small country with the small population? Refer to the WHO website for more information on the no. of reported cases in other countries. 3. Temperature taking at schools is not going to help much. There are too many students [and too few thermometers] all arriving at the same time so it is impossible for teachers, irrespective of how many they are to correctly and honestly record the temperature. It might reach a stage when teachers knowingly and unknowingly miss temp taking of some students. Furthermore, what if the high temperature starts at 8.30 instead of 7.30? Wouldn't the previously-declared H1NI-free student be spreading the virus around wrongly thinking that she is virus-free? 3. Teachers should not be doing the nurses job. They aren't trained nurses so they wouldn't know the exact procedure of handling patients with infectious diseases.[oops, very, very, fatality-causing infectious diseases] 4. Won't temperature-taking if done honestly be a long process? Is there any learning time left? 5. Look at the overwhelming number of students per class. 38 students cramped like sardines in a tin. If one student is missed or has the disease later in the day, wouldn't it be the right place to just spread the virus around? 6. Face masks distributed are NOT ENOUGH for all students. ......

There is an age group swimming completion being held TODAY, Friday July 3rd, 2009 until Sunday July 5th, 2009 at the Stadium Swimming Pool. I was informed there would be 200 swimmers participating and most of them are children. My main concern is, is this safe? We all know that the H1N1 influenza virus is air-borne.  I strongly believe that the swimming competition should be postponed. It is not safe for the children and other people who have to attend it. I hope the ministry of health will take precautionary measures as to this matter should be taken so that there will be less increase in H1N1 cases in Brunei, especially those involving children. ...

The recent death of a 12 year old child shock the nation and plunged many into a fear syndrome but there's one thing that bothers me...the MOH have stated that ALL patients are in GOOD condition. The MOH told the public not to panic as the situation worsens. It was also stated that ALL patients are having mild symptoms. Then the news came out on the first death of swine flu. It was mentioned the victim suffered from an end stage of liver problems. Shouldn't MOH mention this to the public early and if the victim really had past illness? Is there anymore patient of swine flu has any other illness? Or is MOH covering up the aggressiveness of the swine flu? In Chile and Argentina the death toll is mounting. Even in other parts of the world we see a surge in deaths relating to swine flu. Are we going ......

Topeng mengelakkan H1N1. Inda puan tahukah? Kenapa guru-guru inda dibenarkan memakai topeng penutup mulut? Biar tia guru kena jangkitankah ? Biar tia matikah ? Ani adalah bertujuan supaya jangan guru pula yang mendapat jangkitan dari murid kemudian merebakkannya sesama guru tanpa disedari disebabkan penyakit atu belum menampakkan kesannya selepas 2,3 hari terkena jangkitan. Apabila semua guru telah kena kuarantin, akhirnya sekolah akan ditutup jua kerana tiada guru mengajar.. Macam inda kena pedulikan. P.S. Guru-guru sklh ini juga tidak dibenarkan memberitahu org luar sklh kalau ada kes H1N1. Sh…sh...sh…………… ...

H1N1... penyakit yang cepat merebak, kalau sekolah disambung cuti lagi, bnyak ketingalan plajaran tu. macam mana guru2 kan membubut masa yg banyak terbuang atu.. ani bulan July, inda g batah final exam tia udah, 3 minggu udah cuti, sama jua nya masih jua ada yang menjangkit,yang banarnya tawakal saja ketani kepada Allah S.W.T. Insya Allah kana lindungi anak2 ketani, semua ani pun daripadanya jua, tapi tepikir ku dulu SARS inda macam ani melanda Brunei. adakah rakyat brunei sudah jauh terpesong dari akidah islam. cuba kamu perhatikan maksiat makin banyak di Brunei ani, suami/isteri membuat zina masing2 ada pasangan masing2, kenapa yang halal ada yang haram masih durang aga?.. Pergaulan bebas antara lelaki dan perempuan yang bukan muhrim.. arak di minum seperti menaguk air putih. Malaikat pun inda suka dekat arah ketani kalau selalu membuat maksiat, Dulu terasa ketani Negara ketani ni kana rahmati, yang mana negara lain dilanda musibah ketani ......

As scheduled for the re-opening of the school which was told that it'll open on 6th of July. Unfortunately, the country is still having a rapid increase in the infection. Re-opening of school, in my opinion could possibly increase the number however we could prevent that by further extension. Not only that, parents of the individual students should concern about their children that they should not allow their child to go on any outings, I would suggest that all crowded places should be closed for the time being and preventive measures should be taken seriously. This way, it could prevent it from spreading effectively. Thus making the country more safer. True that the masks will help but it'll only reduce the chances of spreading and we can't assure that'll help us. Even though we're wearing the masks, but what about during their recess? Won't they have to open their masks to eat? From some source I found, these preventive ......

TWO reasons why school holidays need to be extended is right under our very nose: TOUCHING and INHALING.. which obviously we know when in contact the symptoms only show 4-5 days later. what IF by than a day about 300-400 students are in contact? so please think carefully about this matter as we know children immunity system are not strong at their age compared to us adults. ...
