BI*D is a pride and pledge of HM government for the establishment of Islamic banking in Brunei that may works according to the Syara' and offering Bruneian on Banking practices within the Hukum. However, what surprise me is that most personnel are practicing a non-Islamic code of conduct and portraying a contrasting personality. In a number of cases, Bruneians were given false promises, unclear directions, no resolutions to any financial facilities they may wish to apply from the Bank. There are delays, unattended calls, cannot meet the boss, unavailability of personnel to address problems, no meetings by the Department head, higher management committee and even long queue to meet the MD. Strict controls are applied at entrance levels restricting people from accessing lifts and stairs to certain floors. Is BI*D not ready to provide financing and banking facilities to Brunei public?
