government housing
October 3, 2011 – 10:41 amsalam
my father recently told me that we got rejected from accepting the governtment housing scheme because my mother had a piece of land. i know the requirement states that, one should not own a house or a land. but we have been waiting for more than 15 years to get a house and the government just rejected our request in a day? why cant they consider the the family’s well being? my parents tried building a house on that land, but it just so happens that their salary combined together were not enough. they can build one, but with what money are they going to use to feed us every month? all i am saying is that, why cant the government check the family’s financial status? a lot of people got more than one house and where’s the justice in that?
i am very, very disappointed. my dad is in his 50s, and it wont be long until he does not work anymore and thanks to the government, we have no place to live.
my ONLY, request is that, please do a background check about the family’s financial status before deciding.
thank you.

the requirement has been set lama sudah, even before you are born.. there is a reason why certain rules have been set. Ok here I will explain briefly the big picture of things. Why people who own a land are black listed is because a land has a value.. it’s value varies from one place to another depending on it’s location. Some people invest money on land to get more money.. and in your case, you can actually sell the land and use the money to buy a house + land (in brunei people are selling a house together with the land). I know it is easy to say but I’m just giving a suggestion here..
They are a lot of people out there are less fortunate than you are.. they don’t even have a piece of land or even a house?? or they have a house on a TOL land. So what this people will do, do you think?? stranded and sleep anywhere near the street?? have you seen one??? they find solutions… by renting a house. Some people even buy rented houses as an options for cheaper prices.

and for your info none of bruneian when they combined their salary is enough to build or even buy a house… they usually apply for housing loan from banks.

kalau boleh bgi suggestion lah ah what if bagi yang ada tanah tu nada rumah lah give 2 choice lah 1. gov ambil tanah atu ngikut harga pasaran yg d nilaikan oleh Gov then bagi perumahan atu, duit atu tulak ja rah harga rumah atu (give n take)
2.Gov buat rumah cam perumahan rah tanahnya tu byr ja cam perumahan atu abis ceta sama jua kan (check 1st lah financial n background durang atu)

from my point of view… we all know the requirement nya macamatu.Persoalannya, why your mother doesn’t tukar nama hak milik tanah atu arah one of her child within 15 years atu?. If awal betukarnama gerenti nada kena reject tu permohonannya. for your info jua masa ani banyak yang dapat perpindahan atu yang benarnya betanah udah but not under their name. Lepas durang dapat rumah perpindahan baru tia durang nukar nama. Entah ah.. boleh dikatakan bohong sunat kah tu?. But yang penting durang memenuhi dan nda melanggar syarat-syarat permohona.”LIFE’S IS NOT ALWAYS STRAIGHT, JUST LIKE THE ROADS”… Hehehe Jgn marah.

oh wow, this was a post that i made last year.
okay, lets do a Q and A.
to Virgo Princess : i know the rule has been set up before i was even born or before my parents even met or even before u got married. i was only refering this to the well capabled bruneians of the country. tonnes of people have their own property and yet, the gov overlooked that silly part of their life. my disatisfaction was outraged towards that.
and also, if two salaries combined CAN get us a house, arent u aware that all families have other expenses to pay for? and the world isnt as straight as u think it is?
to pinklipstic and apa nah : i appreciate your views, its nice seeing other people who are in the same situation as my family
to noroalonso : yes im aware, im well educated about his matter mind u. the reason why my mother did not change the land was bcus they got married a few years back and she is actually my step mother. dad wasnt aware of this piece of land and mom actually forgot all about it bcus it was a leased land.
and also, they tried changing the name, the government incharge of all of this did not allow us to. so yeah, u are right in this matter, the world isnt as straight as roads, please review what u just said to me
to Nini Mu : awu ni, tepikir ku bnyak urang tinggal bawah jambatan masani, nada bedtiang apa. aku punya post atu ditujukan arah orang yang betanah sama brumah apa, rasa inda puas hati terhadap bisdorang ani. yng menipu apa, tapi sanang hidup. awu tah, salah bapa mama ku pasal inda memplan gaji, payah jua bah mun ganya gaji sejamput saja. awu tah, salah durang tah jua inda blajar tinggi2.
dpat tu eh perumahan kita, asal inda betanah apa, insyaAllah

and also, for the record. it is very stressful to think about your parents well being while you are still studying! it hurts me to see them suffering while i cant do anything cus im not working yet! yes the anak can help, this post was just one the few ways i could do at that time, by merely voicing out my opinion on that matter!
dont tell me that the world isnt all straight and all that, ive lived to know that. i just wanted my opinions to be heard, not be judged or being ridiculed bcus of still young and kononnya ‘inda tau apa2′
