Jobless Until Now
February 14, 2012 – 10:05 amWhat has happen to the last year bridex road show for job fair? Who will take action on this matter ?
The truth , I ‘ve apply several position on last year bridex and also several company , until now I am still jobless.I ‘ve more than 18 years experiences in Oil n Gas Company especially in Supply Chain Management , HSSE , Logistic nd operational .But it a waste , have experiences but no company would employed me .
Where are so called company helping us local ? Vision 2035? Amtur , Adnin Work Engineering , PTAS , Petronas , Amrco Jaya , Swiber ,Sahid, Mashor MJVI , MK Johan ?Minister of Energy have VOICE up he vision 2035. Alot of CV being send and it a waste of time and money spend on this application . What are this company politic?
Where are the authories that will help us locals? Why foreigner they employed ? Especially MK Johan , AWE ,Sahid, etc all employed foreigner.
Who will take action against this company and investigate the labour activities?

If I were to employ you I would also have to think a lot with many question marks in my head. First, if you really were that experienced as you said then the company that hired you might have not let you go unless of course you had been fired for wrong doing. If you were to leave on your own accord, then your wisdom is indeed very, very questionable. Why would you want to be unemployed in the first place when you are not even sure you are going to get a better job? So it’s no wonder why companies seem to be shunning you.

Dear BusterMathis, it seem like you like to judge people in a negative way . Without knowing the real situation . Who want to be un-employed? Due to my experiences , some companies are unwilling to employ me due to the reason ” They don’t afford to pay my salary”. May be that goes to you too. Nowaday , the companies like to hire “New people” or just “Foreigner” inorder they can paid “GAJI MURAH”.
If I have done wrong doing , I would have not worried being un-employed until now . I have a very clean records in BSP/BLNG ( Nada rasuah , or what so ever) . How about you ? One thing , don’t you ever think that you are now sitting at a stable position or what so ever.One day you might be just like me . Even I am un-employed, I did achieve my goals in life being a manager level before turning 40 . It just that , “BALUM REZEKI” . Once god take it back , just tried out best to get a new one . Hope you understand , it is not easy being un-employed when you are someone husband & father.

Last but not least , if you just know who I am in a real way you might not think the way you think now. Nobody is perfect, god recreate us to be sincere . If I do wrong why the company give me a good testimonial ? just think .

I agree with your comment bustermathis, however I did went out to the job fair and applied to several jobs but until as today there are no feedback yet. For my point of view the job fair is just to full fill the the requirement from the organizer just to get the show going. but in the end like we who are really in need for jobs are being left out. I my self also really interested in working in oil and gas sector as i was from the marine side. I don’t know how the other companies can employ foreigners more but isn’t that we are trying to get locals to work and get the same standard as foreigners? I other words local can do providing that are given a chances to work. But some companies also who employ local are not fair to everybody on the contract lots of colour full promises such as bonus and overtime but when joining the company all those stated in the contract was never happen. But the can afford to pay high wages to foreigners. But the work load are mostly to locals which is paid low wages and no privileges. We locals are really in need to get a steady and a secure job for a living and of course now body wants to jump everyway to find a good job. So of these private companies don’t know how to wind the hearts and mind of the workers and also being double standard to others. I just hope to find a stable and steady job soon cos i my self to have families to feed.
