Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir dan Batin

August 18, 2012 – 9:29 am

We are about to complete the 28th day of fasting today (17th August 2012), may be 29th in some countries.

I wish all Bruneians a very happy and Blessed Eidl Fitr, Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir dan Batin.

May Allah accept your good deeds, forgive your transgressions and ease the sufferings of all people in Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kashmir, Palestine and around the globe.

Islam seems to have replaced communism as the common enemy of the West and hence the so called clash of civilization of Huntington, seems to be on course.

The Umma is going through one of the severest and deepest crisis in its 1433 years of history due to disunity and weak Iman.

Let us hold fast to the rope of Allah swt and cherish the Quran and the Sunnah of Rasulullah-saws.

We have to forget and forgive the shortcomings of our brothers and sisters try to achieve unity against the common enemies of God.

Keep praying, be patient and May Allah swt accept our Duas and supplications Happy Iddl Fitr 2012.

  2. Ramadan is supposed to be a month of charity. Instead, it has become a month of gluttony and ostentation.

    The rich compete to show off their fancy buffets and restaurants attract customers with their extravagant menus.

    Not very many except HM YDPA Sultan speaks of the poor anymore;

    Western socialist have been transformed into liberal capitalist parties willing to tear down the welfare state in return for political domination from middle class people who have been inculcated with indifference towards the poor.

    The Ummah is in a state of decline and many have often been either inconsiderate to the poor or totally oblivious about their presence.

    We do not seem to work out an economic programme in Brunei that can uplift the poor.

    The West will not like a war on poverty in any Islamic state: and if one was to be declared, the World Bank would intervene to end it, as it did in Indonesia and Brazil

    Reason Better distribution of wealth does not help the domination of Western powers in the internal affairs of Muslim nations.
