IS MALI NEXT IRAQ?

January 21, 2013 – 9:46 am

It is a geographical accident that crude oil is found in many Middle Eastern countries populated and ruled by Muslims. But as a matter of fact crude oil is a world resource and so only North America and Europe would decide the exploration, extraction, refining and marketing of the commodity That is the view of the neo imperialists.

The latest casualty of this doctrine is Mali an African country.

The goal of this new war is no other than stripping yet another country of its natural resources by securing the access of international corporations to do it.

France is supported by other NATO members. US is providing intelligence . Of course everyone wants a share in the rich booty by replacing one corrupt Admin by another corrupt set of politicians as we saw in Libya. The goal is exploitation.

If we are to believe what the French say( as we believed the Americans about Iraq) we are misled again about the real reasons. A look at Mali’s natural resources

Mali’s Petroleum potential has been documented since the 1970’s Mali could also provide a strategic transport route for Sub-Saharan oil and gas exports

Gold: Mali: Africa’s third largest gold producer.

The country also has significant amount of Uranium, diamonds, precious stones, iron ore, bauxite and manganese rock deposits copper marble etc.

Traditional colonialism of 18th century is dead we think ( we thought) but it is actively alive and kicking in more exploitative forms throughout the world.

  1. One Response to “IS MALI NEXT IRAQ?”

  2. Mali project looks like an obscene television remake of Western interventions in other parts of the world.

French troops will be in Mali for only “several weeks”, Hollande and his cronies tell us.

Isn’t that what Britain said when British troops first appeared on the streets of Northern Ireland, and then spent decades fighting there?

Isn’t that what the Israelis said when they marched into Lebanon in 1982 and stayed for another 18 years?

Isn’t this what the U.S. thought when Wasington invaded Afghanistan?

Mali is difficult to understand. Mali is an artificial state whose northern inhabitants, especially the Tuaregs, have always refused to be ruled by a black government in the south. It’s tribal, with a veil of ‘Islamism’ over the top of it – and now how the French get themselves out of this mess?”

Maybe we should ask Mokhtar Belmokhtar, the presumed “mastermind” of the Algerian raid.

Syria is temporarily in a different category, since the desire of West to destroy Bashar al-Assad allows it to turn all his victims into freedom fighters.

Odd, that. For among the rebels facing the ruthless Assad are folk very similar to Mr Belmokhtar and his merry Islamists, the very men who rouse the anger of American politicians FUNNY WORLD POLITICS
